Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These terms govern the use of MathFyx, operated by Norbert Krivý. By using the service you agree to them. Where your school has a contract with the operator, the contract prevails in case of conflict.
1. The service
MathFyx helps teachers grade written work: it compares the work with a reference solution, suggests points and written feedback, and marks mistakes. For programming, it can transcribe code, run it against tests and suggest a fix. It can connect to Google Classroom and EduPage.
2. Accounts
An institution's administrator is set up by the operator; an institution has exactly one. The administrator manages the teachers and sees the school's aggregate statistics, and neither grades nor opens students' work — someone who both teaches and administers has two accounts. A teacher creates their own account through the link in an invitation we email to them once the institution's administrator has requested the account and the operator has approved the request. There is no public sign-up. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. You can access students' work only in the courses your school has assigned you to teach.
You can close your account at any time in Settings. The institution's administrator can end your access when you leave the school.
3. Grades are suggestions; the teacher decides
A grade suggested by artificial intelligence can be wrong — for example with illegible handwriting, an unusual method of solution, or a transcription error. You are responsible for the grade you give a student. The service therefore requires you to sign off every grade before it is returned.
4. Content you upload
Rights to uploaded work, reference solutions and assignments remain with their authors and the school. The operator uses them only to provide the service to your school, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Upload only content the school has the right to use, and do not use the service for unlawful purposes or to circumvent its security.
5. Availability and changes
The service is provided as is and is under continuous development. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and try to announce planned downtime in advance. Features may change.
6. Fees
The school orders gradings (“opravy”) — the number of papers its teachers can have graded, by the chosen thoroughness (low, medium, high). The operator allocates them to individual teachers. Each successful grading of a paper uses one, including a repeated grading of the same paper; a grading that fails or returns nothing usable uses none. When a teacher has used all gradings of a thoroughness, no further work can be graded at that thoroughness until we allocate more.
Nothing is paid in the application and no money is shown in it. Price and payment terms are set in the agreement with the school.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect damage or for decisions made on the basis of a suggested grade that a teacher signed off. This does not affect rights that cannot be excluded by contract.
8. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. Please send questions to info@mathfyx.sk.
